“EMEA conference was great, the energy, the network (the food as well!)… The conferences are great and above all people, knowing we are sharing the same challenges, the same Dreams, get to know each other and what we can all achieve as a Team is inspiring… it is also great to get to know ERA Colleagues that you can learn from and even make Join Ventures… it is a great investment”
I went to the conference last year in Cascais, without a lot of expectations being the first conference for me within the ERA network. My experience of that event was beyond expectations. I had a blast, everything was so well organized and the location was really great.
I really felt the power and depth of our organization and it really opened up my mind to how many opportunities we have working together across all these countries. I found both the seminars and different events really interesting and I broadened my view of what I will be able to achieve within my career in ERA.
What absolutely gave me most out of the conference was the opportunity to connect with people within our network and shape both new friendships as well as business opportunities that have actually now turned into live customer projects.
I found the core value and opportunity with the setup of ERA through this event and I can’t wait to go next year as well, Malaga 2023 here we come. Time well spent!
“The EMEA Conference is the one opportunity in the year to hear about what is working in the wider ERA Community, from those actively doing it. There are some great ideas and practices that sometimes never reach the UK so to understand how colleagues have dealt with issues that I am also struggling with is of real benefit to me. The networking and social side is always fun and taking the time to travel and feel part of a global organisation is something I enjoy. Attending the EMEA Conference is a real shot in the arm for me and I always return to the office with a handful of new ideas to try out in my own business.“
Originally, I did not plan to participate. Unfortunately the timing was in overlap with a very important project delivery with one of my most important clients. Organizing my agenda so I could attend was not a “pleasure cruise” but I managed to do it! And, well, I’ve been repaid 10x for my efforts, honestly.
Last year was my first conference live with everybody. I started in ERA in May 2020 and until then every contact with the ERA team had been digital. The Cascais Conference was very interesting for me for three main reasons, to meet in person Partner and ERA Staff that I have worked with, to extend my network inside ERA (I met Partners in the IT area that I started to work with because I met them at the conference) and to have a better view on the plans and future actions of ERA. Something crucial to my business plans.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the 2022 EMEA Conference. While I’m a U.S. consultant, Portugal was my third EU conference and maybe the best yet. The top two reasons that I fly across the pond to attend the EU conferences are the content and to meet my ERA EMEA colleagues. The content of the sessions delivered is excellent and globally relevant, not Eurocentric. The exposure to the thought leaders in ERA’s EU network has had a lasting impact on me and my ERA consulting practice.
Although nominally an EMEA conference, I was amazed by the number of attendees from all over the world. Being new to the network, it can sometimes feel like you are working alone. This event provides a much greater sense of the truly global nature of the franchise.
